The Karnataka State Fire & Emergency Services Department is responsible for fire prevention, firefighting, rescue operations and emergency response across Bengaluru South District. It also conducts fire-safety inspections and issues fire-safety compliance certificates for eligible buildings and establishments. The district has fire stations serving Ramanagara, Channapatna, Magadi and Kanakapura.
