Taluk Panchayat Office is the local rural development and administrative body functioning at the taluk level under Karnataka’s three-tier Panchayat Raj system. It coordinates and implements rural development programmes, supervises development works, supports Gram Panchayats, and works on matters such as drinking water, sanitation, rural infrastructure, education, health, social welfare and development planning. The office is headed administratively by the Executive Officer (EO).
